Happy New Year

January 1, 2012

Happy New Year and well done to all of you who 1) are still awake at this time, 2) able to read this amongst the amount of alcohol you have drunk and 3) have survived this long.

As I have read on many blogs on WordPress and statuses on Facebook and tweets on Twitter, 2011 has been quite a sucky year. I feel like the whole year I’ve been going into the fridge and taking a glass of milk only to find after the first… 2-3 glasses that the milk is actually off. So far I’d like to announce that I have already got to a good start as I’m actually getting a lot more clients for graphic design, which brings my onto my next point: You peeps should totally click that like button on my page! I know many of you may not have seen my work but clicking that button lets me know you care about my blog at least. You doing this will bring a tear to my eye, and make it look good for other clients as well as making me look popular amongst you internet people

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read, I hope you have a good new years day, and not much of a hang over.

2012: You’re All Wrong

December 21, 2011

I just want to quickly say that I of course don’t have all the facts, nor can I research them properly as I’m planning a documentary which involves planning on camera and if my documentary is chosen then research for this post would have defeated the object of the show, but I know enough.

I’ve seen a lot of squabbling around Twitter about 21st of December 2012 and it now being a year away exactly. I noticed that every post about this was talking about “The end of the world” and “the Mayans said it would end”. If you think this, then stop where you are, take a breather and read the rest of this.

The Mayans DID NOT predict the end of the world, they predicted a change. If you Google Mayans predicting the end of the world and find any article supporting this then the person posting it should be slapped very hard across the face. The Mayans had something called “levels of conciousness” which were Cellular, Mammalian, Familial, Tribal, Cultural, National, Planitary, Galactic and Universal. The last phase from what I remember in my own research started in the winter solace in 1990 and finishes in 2012. I’m not saying that what happens on the 21st of December wont be bad. It MAY be cataclysmic, but thats not what the Mayans said would happen. They are saying that the final stage of our conciousness is coming. That could mean a new age for humans, or maybe we learn something thats very important, or we get visited by aliens. Who knows!

Dont use the movie 2012 as a documentary. It’s a film. Saying the end of the world is coming on the 21st of December has the same odds as me meeting the person I’m going to marry and spend the rest of my life with: It may happen, it may not. I’d just like to see people doing a bit more research before posting on Twitter that the end is coming and that the Mayans predicted it.
